Our trip with Emmanuel (Gari Trips) was amazing! We went from Kampala to Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth National Park and back to Entebbe. We had an absolutely brilliant 11 day tour with Emma from Gari Trips. We enjoyed game drives in a Mburo and Murchison Falls National Parks, a trip to see the gorillas at Bwindi, a relaxing day at Lake Mutanda and much more. I had a fantastic weekend with Eddy from Gari trips, my first experience of Uganda (and safari) which completely exceeded my expectations. We visited Ziwa rhino sanctuary and Murchison Falls, where we managed to fit in two game drives, a walk to the top of the falls and a boat trip. Saw so many beautiful animals and birds in such a short space of time. Eddy was great company - positive, organised, enthusiastic and happy to share his extensive knowledge of wildlife and Uganda, and an expert driver / navigator. I was travelling alone and felt safe and comfortable, even in the Kampala traffic! Emmanuel is a wonderful driver-guide who made our two-week journey through Uganda truly unforgettable. My boyfriend and I did a round-trip during the end of rain season; Kampala, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls, the Rwenzori Mountains, Lake Mutanda, Mburo, and back to Kampala.

Immanuel helped me book my gorilla permit, giving me tips on which sector was better for me as there are 4. He also had someone come to receive me on the morning of my gorilla trek as many people were on a fully organised Africa tour. If you’re an independent traveler, he’s the man of the situation, he’ll help you book your permit and give you guidance on how to get there easily on your own. I personally went to Rushaga sector and I can recommend it 100% as Immanuel said it’s very easy there as we only had to hike 1h to see the Gorillas 🦍.
